Under the direction of the Chief Dispatcher, the Assistant Chief Dispatcherwill provide oversight for all Train Dispatcher's day-to-day responsibilities. Coordinate the distribution of track warrants. Assist train dispatchers with communications and the exchange of information. Provide relief and emergency coverage of dispatcher vacancies. Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Candidates can expect salary offers that range from the minimum to the mid-point of the salary range. Metra provides full pay ranges, so candidate can consider their growth potential.
Metra is a railroad employer subject to the provisions of the Railroad Retirement Tax Act, not the Social Security Administration.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least three (3) years of prior railroad work experience; with a minimum of one (1) year experience as a Train Dispatcher.
