Your Job
Georgia Pacific is now hiring a Process Engineer to become one of the newest members of their Hummingbird segment! The Process Engineer is responsible for improving our customer experience through optimization of the digital press at our West Chester Township, OH facility. The Process Engineer will utilize influence and technical skills within the plant to improve quality, increase productivity, and decrease manufacturing costs through process improvement, equipment modifications, recipe improvements, manufacturing flow optimization, and other innovative solutions while maintaining an accident-free workplace.
This is an on-site role located in West Chester Township, OH.

What You Will Do
Partner with operations personnel to champion the development and continuous improvement of press recipes, aligning with our vision to deliver superior quality products.
Utilize technical skills to analyze available data from multiple sources, using a principle-based approach to optimize settings and enhance product performance.
Foster a culture of knowledge sharing through effective documentation and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Develop and improve operational best practices and best run settings and create a framework for integrating new products into these categories.
Evaluate and make recommendations which will increase output and decrease costs by addressing/improving workflow, standard operating procedures, time/motion characteristics, cycle times, set-up times, waste, quality, etc..
Be the site expert in all software used from pre-press through printing and utilize that knowledge to work with the Hummingbird team to improve uptime and customer experience.
Assist as needed in root cause analysis of mechanical or operational problems.
Ensure operations goals for OEE are met and sustained through implementation of effective control plans.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Process improvement experience in a manufacturing environment
Previous experience facilitating operational changes with proven results
Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead
Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering
Previous experience within a corrugated packaging or similar manufacturing environment
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
Previous experience of the Blue Diamond, Centerlining or other Operational Excellence audit process
