Summary/Objective:
CMM programmer will be responsible to support the operations and program teams with the MSA and CMM programming needs. The position will work directly with the Quality group and perform the necessary work to facilitate customer requirements within the scope of new and existing programs. Programmer will be scheduled through a calendar of identified tasks, with expectations that they are completed in a timely manner. Position will report into the Quality Manager
Essential Functions:
Programming CMM for product and or CAD tooling/gauges.
Develop and generate programs for products and/or inspection tooling on Senior's CMM.
Organize respective data into developed databases to house/reference for future use.
Communication between all product and quality team members on the associated quality measurement information.
Perform expected tasks generated via schedules for the CMM and ensure timely completion of these tasks.
Perform routine inspections for the developed calibration program at Senior and ensure timely compliance to program timing.
On hands support for all CMM programming needs for the operations and business unit teams
Products/tooling will be transferred on and off of the CMM tables.
Ability to fixture and perform layouts as such for the specific product/tooling requirements.
Education/Qualifications/Requirements:
Degree or technical certification
Knowledge of PC-DMIS programming language
Knowledge of GD&T
Prior experience working with QMS
Automotive manufacturing experience (IATF 16949)
Knowledge of the APQP process
Knowledge of Microvue vision systems
