The Data Scientist works with a team of data scientists, business intelligence analysts, and data engineers contributing independently to solve business problems. The ideal candidate has a depth of knowledge in quantitative analytic methods, data management, visualization, and programming skills suitable to drive data driven decisions. This position requires independent research, model development, models implementation and validates algorithms (predictive and prescriptive) to analyze diverse sources of data to achieve targeted outcomes.

As a Data Scientist, you will:
Work with and analyze large, structured, and un-structured datasets in cloud environments, utilizing services like Snowflake, AWS S3, or Google Cloud Storage.
Use complex quantitative and analytical techniques to accelerate profitable growth and customer engagement, unlocking value across all functional areas of business. Sought out for analytical insights and modeling capabilities.
Be able to independently build, test, validate, and deploy machine learning and AI models using cloud-based platforms such as AWS Azure, GCP and Snowflake.
Design and implements data visualizations to communicate complex ideas and influence business leaders and executives in driving strategic business decisions.
With limited oversight, complete assigned deliverables and draw insights from data to make quick, well-informed decisions with available information from disparate sources. Partner with other colleagues on the Data & Enablement team, coaching and reviewing work produced. Use judgement to develop solutions that achieve desired results.
Demonstrate ability to continuously learn and provide value in a dynamic environment. Help with overseeing work of the Associate Data Scientists, providing training and guidance.

Additional skills and competencies required:
Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate with both business and Information Technology (IT) leaders.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of statistical and predictive modeling concepts, machine learning approaches, clustering and classification techniques, and recommendation and optimization algorithms.
Familiar with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Snowflake or GCP.
Advanced Python, SQL skills.
Strong proficiency in visualization tools like Power Business Intelligence (BI), Tableau.
Effective communication skills through data visualizations, written and oral presentations.
Team leading and mentorship and Project Management experience.

Education
Masters of Quantitative, Analytical, STEM fields with 5-6 years' of data science related experience. Required
Or Ph.D. in Quantitative, Analytical, STEM fields with up to 2 years' of experience. Required

Required Experience
5-6 years experience Quantitative, Analytical, STEM fields. Required
5-6 years experience Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or Artificial Intelligence. Required
5-6 years experience Programming experience in Python, PySpark, R, or Scala. Required

Preferred Experience
6-9 years experience Quantitative, Analytical, STEM fields. Preferred
Experience in Banking/Financial Services. Preferred
Experience in marketing/consumer analytics. Preferred
Experience in libraries such as TensorFlow, Pytorch, or Keras. Preferred
Experience in Deep Learning Modeling, NLP/LLM, and/or Transactional Data Categorization experience. Preferred
