Overview

$2.50 Weekend Differential

OSF will invest in you on day 1! Candidates with 5+ years of direct experience will receive 24 hours of Vacation and Holiday time that will be available for use beginning day 1. This is in addition to our generous time-off benefits.
Expected pay for this position is $37.99 - $49.72/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
Shifts will rotate between OSF SFMC and the OSF Cancer Institute

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cardiac Sonographer I follows established policies, procedures, and performs and records Echocardiology diagnostic tests. In doing so, obtains information about normal and abnormal anatomy used to diagnosis disease. Ensures echo exams are of acceptable quality and records results. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree (any major) or foreign degree equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in the U.S. or Canada.
Licensure/ Certification:
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
Other skills/ knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit(s) and of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of the patient population served.
