Job Description
Essential Job Functions
The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.
- Train and lead forklift operators to transport finished jobs or goods into correct areas
- Move pallets of goods for jobs in process to appropriate area as needed
- Place finished goods which are on a designated pallet to the correct location
- Perform all functions accurately as required in WMS system
- Reduce errors and safety incidents, assigns forklift operators to specific jobs/feeding lines
- Accurately complete forklift operator's checklist
- Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
- Confer with managers to ensure coordination of other production lines
- Conduct a physical inventory of all corrugated materials by performing daily cycle counts
- Perform inventory audits on a daily basis or as needed
- Professional in attitude and performance and leadership of staff
- Maintain a clean and safe work area by moving empty pallets to a designated area
- Verify processes are being followed
- Perform all line clearances and verify for accuracy
- Assign forklift drivers for set ups and daily job tasks
- Assist supervisors on the production floor/warehouse to maintain a safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Education Desired - High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to pass certification in order to operate a fork/lift truck
- Stand-up Forklift experience required
- Previous warehouse production experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to interpret written and oral instructions
- Ability to lead, train and direct a team
- Ability to produce at a high level
- Ability to work with plant management for required results
- Ability to be able to work as part of a team
- Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job
- 2nd shift: Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting
- Walking, standing, lifting & bending for duration of shift
