Position Highlights:
Position: Chaplain - per diem
Location: Evanston Hospital
Full Time/Part Time: Resource - per diem
Hours: Monday-Friday, must be flexible with work schedule and week-ends
Required Travel: Yes
What you will need:
Provide spiritual care to patients and their loved ones and to hospital staff during evening/night, weekend and holiday on-call shifts and occasional weekday shifts at the Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park and Skokie hospitals;
Document all spiritual care encounters and interventions;
Provide spiritual and emotional support to hospital staff.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE);
Minimum of 1 year of theological education;
Minimum of 1 year of acute-hospital pastoral experience preferred;
Member in good standing in one's endorsing organization;
Documented previous pastoral experience;
Knowledge and adherence to practice standards and ethics of professional discipline, including patient confidentiality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
