Job Description

Purpose:

The Associate, Clinical Analytics is a valuable member of a highly motivated team of Data Scientists who possess a rare combination of Business and Scientific knowledge. This team is dedicated to unleashing the complete potential of AbbVie’s internal and external data resources. Working alongside the team, the Associate utilizes advanced technology and data analysis to assist in study and site start up activities. Moreover, the Associate plays a crucial role in the application of analytics techniques throughout the clinical development process.

Description:

+ Collaborates with the global operations team to drive international program/protocol feasibility analysis, site identification, and site metrics across assigned Therapeutic Areas.

+ Supports the site identification process by ensuring quality control and conducting status reviews.

+ Works cross-functionally with the study feasibility team to ensure the generation of high-quality site lists.

+ Analyzes historical benchmark trial data and compares it to study protocols, preparing comparison materials and leading assessments with feasibility directors at country/site selection meetings.

+ Engages with the internal clinical analytics team to enhance the analysis and reporting for assigned clinical trials.

+ Utilizes analytics solutions, such as machine learning site lists or creates quantitatively informed site lists, benchmark trial data, and competitive trial environment, to generate country and site lists for study identification.

+ Incorporates real-world data sources, such as claims, to gain insights on protocol design.

+ Ensures consistency in analytical work products across studies and optimizes user experience based on established design principles and standards.

+ Interacts with study teams to enhance therapeutic area knowledge and gain valuable insights.

+ Stays up-to-date with industry innovations and advances, particularly related to investigator/site matters, to remain aware of relevant developments.

+ Participates in functional innovation and process improvement initiatives, such as enhancing the Country and Site identification process and enrollment.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree statistics, analytics, bioinformatics, data science or equivalent field. Master’s degree preferred

+ Must have 2-3 years of Data science and analytics-related experience

+ Intermediate proficiency with visualization tools like Spotfire, Tableau or equivalent

+ Proficiency with Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint)

+ Preferred experience with SQL,Tableau or other advanced analytics techniques

+ Clinical trial experience preferred

+ Demonstrated effective communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate analytical and technical concepts in layman’s terms

+ Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills

+ Demonstrated history of successful execution in a fast-paced environment and in managing multiple priorities effectively
