About the Position: The Joint Munitions Command provides the Joint Force with ready, reliable, lethal munitions at the speed of war. JMC’s mission is to support the production, storage, distribution, and demilitarization of munitions. This position serves as Security Specialist for Joint Munitions Command. Responsibilities Oversees Government-owned, Contractor-operated (GOCO) and Contractor-owned, Contractor-operated (COCO) physical security requirements for conventional munitions Influences the course of security programs across command organizational lines by analyzing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating the development of security policy Advises Joint Munitions Command, Army Material Command, Department of Army, and Department of Defense on security in the contracting environment. Integrate physical security into the Command’s planning and execution of the Army Protection Programs. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Devising physical security solutions that align with regulatory requirements; (2) Conducting risk or vulnerability assessments related to the protection of personnel, property, and resources (3) Providing technical advice to senior leaders on security program policies and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision Support Physical Security Security Program Management Vulnerabilities Assessment and Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
