The System Leadership Initiative (SLI) is a small team that supports leadership development programming and events including virtual and in person leadership conferences, experiential development opportunities, and speaking engagements. In this role you will be responsible for a key experiential development program supporting our (Federal Reserve System) FRS leaders. You will report the Manager of the team and will have no direct reports.

The Leadership Development Specialist is responsible for key experiential development and talent exchange programs including the System Leadership Exchange (SLE). Assists with leadership development program activities and events focused on the online and experiential development programs and opportunities. Also includes leadership conferences, experiential development opportunities, and speaking engagements. Level of work is considered advanced and incumbent must be able to work under minimal supervision. This position does not have direct reports but provide work direction and guidance to staff.

Your Responsibilities:

+ Provides program leadership, oversees and recommends strategic direction and governance structure for the System Leadership Exchange (SLE) program. Serve as single point of contact for the sponsor in strategic planning efforts within the program including Strategic Marketing. Responsible for overseeing the creation and maintenance of an annual SLE Program Evaluation Report and presentations to all governance bodies.

+ Provide leadership, expertise, and direction to hosts, liaisons, and volunteer staff on work efforts of a variety of size, complexity, and scope. Responsible for implementing and monitoring program, program level outcomes and success criteria including but not limited to the budget. Provide oversight and directly influence activities on business critical projects and program operations from the conceptual phase through implementation operations.

+ Responsible for oversight of day-to-day operational level work. Responsible for implementing program level dashboards for monitoring performance and enhancing visibility of program status (e.g. Mid-Year, End-of-Year Performance Metrics).

+ Responsible for planning, designing and implementing program surveys and resulting summary reports. (e.g. Participant, Host, and Liaison Surveys); ensuring program level governance structures are working as intended and are continually improving decision speed and quality.

+ Manages program dependencies, risks and issues; ensures end user support issues are resolved in a timely manner. Direct responsibility for developing, directing and/or training operational staff, provide guidance for the development of end-user, and technical support staff to include but not limited to the following:

+ Manage workload assignments

+ Complete performance feedback for rotational volunteer staff

+ Decide operating plans and priorities that will be executed by operational support staff

+ Oversees intermediate to large sized System-wide projects. Assembles project teams, assigns individual responsibilities, develops project schedules, and is responsible for determining and acquiring resources needed. Must be familiar with the entire scope and requirements of project(s) and acts as liaison between team members and functional area management requesting project.

Your Background:

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

+ At least 5 plus years of work experience

+ Ability to create an environment that fosters teamwork, accountability, and exceptional service

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly communicate program information effectively to various stakeholders

+ Excellent interpersonal and negotiation/influence skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to work effectively as a team member and leader.

+ Strong customer service/customer relations orientation.

+ Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to facilitate meetings

+ Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain credibility with all levels of management and promote and cultivate quality throughout the organization.

+ Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Additional Requirements

+ This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of two days per week in office.
