Job Description

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Administrative Coordinator in the Healthcare industry. The position is based in Chicago, Illinois. As an Administrative Coordinator, you will be tasked with handling administrative duties in a healthcare setting, particularly in relation to Medicaid billing and patient financial management.

Responsibilities:

- Accurately process and verify admission documentation to establish correct payment methods for new residents.

- Prepare and submit complete Admission Packets within the required timeframe, ensuring all necessary signatures are collected.

- Conduct monthly reconciliations of resident financial accounts to address any outstanding balances.

- Regularly submit billing statements and any unbilled claims to Public Aid to facilitate prompt and accurate payments.

- Conduct weekly verification of resident eligibility to maintain accurate status and payment information.

- Timely complete and return redetermination (REDE) forms and Social Security Rep Reports to ensure uninterrupted income for residents.

- Review resident cases monthly, identify and investigate any income changes, and communicate any adjustments to the facility as needed.

- Participate in monthly training to maintain competency and proficiency in administrative tasks and Medicaid billing.

- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations and high-quality patient care. Requirements – Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative role within the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry.

- Must have a clear understanding of Medicaid and Medicaid billing procedures.

- Demonstrated ability to provide administrative assistance in a fast-paced environment.

- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Proficient in using various office software including Microsoft Office Suite.

- Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.

- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.

- Excellent customer service skills with a patient-focused approach.

- Detail-oriented and excellent time management skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Must be open to learning new administrative tasks and processes as required by the role.

- Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but not essential.

- Previous experience in a similar role within the healthcare industry is highly desirable.
