Job Description

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Downers Grove, Illinois. As part of our team, you will oversee and develop the accounting team, manage the balance sheet and P& L reporting structure, and ensure compliance with USGAAP, JSOX and IFRS. This role also involves providing audit and tax support, managing the sales/use tax functions, and administering Corporate Purchasing Card, Concur expense reporting and Vertex sales tax software.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise and develop the accounting team, providing support for completion of responsibilities and project-related activities.

- Oversee Accounts Payable transactional activities, employee expense report administration and processing, and SAP process support.

- Administer Corporate Purchasing Card, Concur expense reporting and Vertex sales tax software.

- Manage the sales/use tax functions and state sales/use tax audits.

- Ensure timely and accurate support for federal and state tax provisions and income tax returns.

- Ensure accounting compliance with USGAAP, JSOX and IFRS.

- Produce and analyze recurring and ad hoc financial reports, schedules and statements.

- Manage SAP system data updates and maintenance.

- Drive the monthly financial close activities including journal entry preparation, preliminary results analysis, and account reconciliation reviews and corrections.

- Act as the Accounting/Finance SAP subject matter expert.

- Participate in inventory and warranty related issues, accruals, and reporting.

- Support various other accounting and finance responsibilities.

- Initiate continuous process improvement initiatives.

- Billing Functions Requirements – Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role as an Accounting Manager or in a related field.

- Proficiency in various Accounting Software Systems is mandatory.

- Experience with ADP – Financial Services is desirable.

- Familiarity with ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions is required.

- Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) is beneficial.

- Must be capable of performing all Accounting Functions effectively.

- Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential.

- Prior experience in Auditing is preferred.

- Must be skilled in executing Billing Functions efficiently.
