Robert Half is searching for a Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join a firm in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be supporting attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions, and managing databases and files associated with each case. You will also be responsible for conducting legal research and assisting in the review and production of discovery responses.

Responsibilities:

+ Assist in trial, hearing, and deposition preparation.

+ Manage and organize databases and files associated with each case.

+ Draft pleadings, briefs, contractual provisions, and correspondences.

+ Conduct legal research to support case preparation.

+ Coordinate and assist in the review and production of discovery responses.

+ Maintain clear communication channels with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and team members regarding case status and progression.

+ Monitor deadlines and assist attorneys with scheduling and coordination.

+ Assist at trials, when necessary, to ensure the smooth operation of proceedings.

+ Analyze, summarize, and organize information and documents.

+ 3-5 years of experience as a Paralegal.

+ Proficiency in using Case Management Software is required.

+ Experience in Commercial Litigation.

+ Ability to conduct Legal Research effectively.

+ Preparing Discovery Responses.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

+ Paralegal certification is desirable.

+ Strong understanding of legal terminologies and procedures.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

+ Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
