Job Summary:

Provides all aspects of digital solution development, product support and problem resolution for execution of Equipment Processing Centers across a complex set of digital products.

We have a great position in the Global Planning and Demand Management group to provide your skill in driving our product distribution through Equipment Processing Centers (EPCs) digital enablement. This includes elements of business processes, support technology, policies, workflow and the data necessary to effectively enable this product distribution. This digital analyst role will have the opportunity to support machine distribution by ensuring end-to-end alignment of EPC business while interacting with supporting digital product teams to effectively enable this distribution model. This position interacts with and presents to certain leadership, project teams, as well as the many internal customers within Caterpillar. In the end, the detail in execution needs to be understand, documented, and brought to reality with supporting teams with this role.

What You Will Do:

- Assists clients with implementing new products, new releases and software upgrades. Responds to inquiries and requests from clients.

  • Including leading requirements collections, blueprint, supports testing including leading all UAT testing efforts, support solution deployment.

- Trains customers in product operation and maintenance.

- Participates in analysis of client identified issues or problems which may require changes to software, procedures, or documentation.

- Diagnoses, troubleshoots and resolves common technical problems. Escalates as per procedures.

- Ensure process design enables end-to-end execution (planning through reporting).

Customer Support Policies, Standards and Procedures:

- Collaborates with other functions on establishing and documenting joint standards.

- Develops quality assurance and monitoring mechanisms.

- Advises on the development of customer support policies and practices.

- Implements cross-functional standards and procedures.

- Evaluates the impact of standards and policies across functional specialties.

- Analyzes existing and evolving procedures for their efficiency and effectiveness.

Software Product Functional Knowledge:

- Supports and participates in major installations and customizations.

- Has knowledge of all technical and infrastructure components of the software products that are part of the distribution network.

- Maintains and disseminates information on customer platforms and experiences.

- Collects, documents and maintains solution requirements and instances.

- Provides recommendations and documentation to field support on technical and platform issues.

- Elaborates on alternative product configurations, platforms, and implementation options.

  • Detailed understanding of end-to-end digital solution to ensure aligned execution across GPDM Digital Products

Performance Measurement and Tuning:

- Monitors the performance of specific system components.

Business and Technical Troubleshooting:

- Emphasizes the business impact of failure and the criticality and timing of needed resolution so that problems can be avoided in the future.

- Creates trouble reports for all issues found and reviews solutions for completeness and correctness.

- Directs the resolution of communications problems in multi-vendor environments.

- Coaches others on advanced diagnostic techniques and tools for unusual or performance-related problems.

- Facilitates the distribution of releases reports and correction packages to departments or clients.

Detailed understanding of the execution environment to ensure all items get successful addressed by the correct parties.

The location for this position is Peoria, IL.

Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

This position may require up to 25% travel.
