Job Description

The Warehouse/Purchasing Coordinator role will direct warehouse personnel to coordinate and supervise loading and unloading operations, including trailer inspections. Assists in implementation of any new warehouse initiatives. Ensures all safety, quality, and environmental policies are followed while maximizing efficiency.

Job Duties

+ Performs record keeping, filing, and purchase order processing.

+ Uses a computer to enter purchase orders into Maximo to insure the accurate status and tracking of orders, develops spreadsheets and reports used in the analysis of purchasing activities and plant costs.

+ Set up New Suppliers in Coupa (send packet to vendor, obtain tax information, banking information etc.)

+ Create purchase orders in Coupa.

+ Matches receiving records with purchase orders, assists in processing purchase orders, invoices and resolving purchasing or invoicing accuracy issues.

+ Provide/Request quotes for all items to be purchased for Location 193.

+ Assists in conducting price comparison studies, returning items received in error or under warranty, and may contact vendors to determine appropriate disposition.

+ Responds to vendors inquires on past due invoices.

+ Maintain Fuel delivery frequency to fill all tanks, generators and fire pumps.

+ Maintain 193 Two-Way radio inventory as well as all radio accessories.

+ Processes invoices for ADM contractors using CTS system.

+ Perform supply scheduling and ordering as required by each department, and provide expediting services to plant customers.

+ Active, hands-on involvement and daily presence within the facility. Works closely with the Storeroom Associate and fills in when and where needed.

+ Helps in the overseeing of Storeroom Associate’s job performance and responsibility, and oversees the general training for the warehouse.

+ Troubleshoot problems within the warehouse, recommend and/or implement steps to improve efficiency or operation of warehouse activities.

+ Reviews outgoing paperwork for trucks and customers for issues, errors, accuracy and product traceability.

+ Participates in and coordinates monthly inventory counts and inventory reconciliations.

+ Works closely with office personnel in coordinating loading and shipping orders, including customer pickups.

+ Monitor storage and rotation of product and shipment of backorder items.

+ Monitor the workplace for improvements and safety concerns.

+ Work closely with production to coordinate loading activities with available products.

+ Perform regularly scheduled audits on load quality, housekeeping, and inventory management.

+ Direct employee efforts to maintain compliance with these standards.

+ Works safely by familiarizing themselves with the hazards in their work area and understands that accidents are preventable and that safety is everyone’s responsibility.

+ Work overtime as required

+ Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Superintendent.

Job Requirements

+ Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent. Two or four year college degree preferred.

+ 2+ years’ experience in warehouse environment to include inventory control. Use of Maximo EAM software preferred.

+ Proven Leadership and Interpersonal skills

+ Computer skills (database, spreadsheets, processing software, Microsoft Office Suite) and Math skills

+ Self-motivated commitment to continuous improvement

+ Ability to excel within high-risk and fast paced work environment

+ Self-motivated and committed to continuous improvement

+ Proven ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions

+ Ability to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to thirty (30) pounds on a frequent basis, up to fifty (50) pounds on an occasional basis

+ Lifting or carrying of weights over fifty (50) pounds is rare; employees are encouraged to request assistance in lifting or carrying objects that weigh more than fifty (50) pounds

+ Ability to traverse up to two (2) miles during the course of a work day

+ Ability to move about or to a work site by stooping, bending, kneeling, or squatting frequently during the course of a work day; may require periods of prolonged sitting or standing
