Job Description
CAD Drafter- Job Description:
As a CAD Drafter, you will spend 60-70% of your day engaged in CAD work, utilizing both AutoCAD and Solidworks to design from scratch and make modifications. You will work with multiple layers in AutoCAD as outlined in the manufacturing process. Additional responsibilities include reverse engineering of finished parts, creating production fixturing drawings, and providing manufacturing support. If a machine goes down, you may need to create new drawings to support manufacturing needs. You will collaborate closely with quality and production teams to ensure the effectiveness of fixturing.
Must Have Skills:
+ Bachelors or Associates Degree or certifications in Design/CAD
+ 1-2 years’ experience within CAD Drafting
+ Proficiency in Solidworks – parts and complex assemblies
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD/Draftsight – layers for different manufacturing operations
+ AUTOMOTIVE HOBIEST OR ENTHUSIAST. Interest in cars, racing, motorcycling, etc.
+ Mechanically inclined with interest in mechanical tinkering
+ Solution focused – able to work through drawing issues
+ Passion for the automotive industry
