Production Supervisor

Description:

Openings on:

1st Shift Opening – 5am – 1:30pm

3rd Shift Opening – 6pm – 2:30am

Will be supervising 20-30 employees

+ Directs all functions, related to production in assigned department.

+ Promote Cross Training and implement within area of responsibility.

+ Ensure that all production paperwork is completed on a timely basis

+ Participate in reducing downtime using problem solving techniques including implementing solutions.

+ Manage resources including materials, equipment, and manpower to meet production targets and deadlines

+ Supervisors will typically work 50 hours a week. Will be an hourly position and time and a half for hours worked over 40 per week

+ Will need to work 4-5 hours on Saturday occasionally (They look for Volunteers first, then rotate supervisors.)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

+ 5+ years of supervision experience

+ Degree is a plus

+ Looking for someone coming from the steel, assembly or welding industry (no food industry or distribution)

+ Working knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques, such as Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement a plus
