Job Description
AbbVie’s EPIC team is responsible for building and deploying scalable in-house generative AI applications to boost productivity and accelerate scientific innovation. As a Technical Product Manager for the EPIC team, you will be responsible for organizing, planning and communicating the work of a small but talented team of developers. Your role will involve prioritizing sprints, assigning tickets, scheduling meetings, monitoring progress and setting deadlines. Moreover, you will be a key communicator to stakeholders, helping to create user-friendly documentation and to prioritize user feedback.
In this role you will be responsible for:
+ Prioritize and plan sprints, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines
+ Assign Jira tickets and tasks to team members, ensuring workload distribution and resource optimization
+ Schedule and facilitate meetings, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
+ Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or bottlenecks, and proactively address them
+ Gather requirements and ensure project deliverables meet expectations
+ Assist in drafting user-friendly documentation and educational materials
+ Engage with users and leverage feedback to further prioritize the team’s work
+ Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

Experiences that make you a strong fit for this role:
Required:
+ Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years’ experience; Master’s Degree with 5 years’ experience; PhD with 0 years’ experience in project management, business systems analysis, or software development.
+ Knowledge of software development best practices
+ Proficient in project management in Jira and similar tools
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
+ Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Beneficial:
+ Technical writing experience is a plus
+ Experience working in the Life Sciences industry
