Project Engineer

Kelly® Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer for a direct hire position with a manufacturer of material anchoring systems located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago . Overview

This client produces bolting, anchoring, and cabling systems for building industry and infrastructure.

In this role you will prepare engineering calculations and installation drawings for post-tensioning and reinforcing applications for buildings, bridges, tanks, etc. This could be for repairs or strengthening projects.

+ Oversee and direct detailers in the preparation of shop drawings for assigned projects.

+ Structural and stress analysis of product and product application.

+ Participate in product development, testing, and certification projects.

+ Provide technical support to project managers and field operation teams.

+ Communicate with contractors and design engineering firms, as required.

+ Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ BS in Civil Engineering with Structural Engineering concentration required. Master degree preferred

+ 3-5 years of Engineering within the Construction Industry.

+ Knowledge of civil and structural engineering principals.

+ Knowledge of codes such as ACI, PTI PCI, AASHTO, AISC, etc. required.

+ Knowledge of carbon fiber reinforced polymer system is preferred.

+ Experience in post-tensioning and use of structural analysis and CAD software.

+ Must be self-motivated, disciplined, and professional.

+ Analytical and skilled in troubleshooting, identification of customer needs and challenges, market knowledge.

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD or similar software.

+ PE license in any state, highly preferred or EIT with ability to obtain PE within a year.
