The Pre-certification Representative ensures that patients scheduled for services are financially cleared before those services are rendered. This role involves completing insurance verification and pre-certification of a patient’s insurance coverage.

Position Responsibilities:

+ Verify patient’s insurance coverage by contacting insurance carriers via phone or computer system.

+ Complete pre-certification of insurance coverage by coordinating with insurance groups through phone and computer systems.

+ Collaborate with insurance carrier representatives and physicians to resolve any delays in pre-certification.

+ Update and correct data in EPIC to ensure accurate demographic and insurance information for clean claim submissions and timely payments.

+ Maintain a working knowledge of payor pre-certification requirements for effective account resolution.

Qualifications:

+ Experience in insurance verification and pre-certification processes.

+ Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data entry and insurance verification.

+ Strong communication skills for coordinating with insurance carriers and healthcare professionals.

+ Detail-oriented with the ability to update and maintain accurate records in EPIC.

Shift- 7:30-4pm

Position Requirements:

Minimum Education:

Required: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education

Preferred : Administrative or technical background acquired through completion of 2 – 3 years of college

Minimum Experience :

Required: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

Preferred: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
