Job Description

An opportunity exists for an experienced field sales professional in Laboratory Products at Thermo Fisher Scientific. This role offers the right candidate a key position and will provide career development and growth as a Sr. Laboratory Equipment Representative (LER) covering Chicago and surrounding suburbs.

Responsibilities:

+ Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed assigned sales goals.

+ Actively pursue sales opportunities and establish positive relationships with current and future clients.

+ Provide product expertise and training with our channel partners to develop and close sales.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams seeking new business potentials to achieve maximum results.

+ Participate in all assigned corporate and focus account initiatives.

Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, STEM, or business preferred.

+ 5+ years of sales experience is strongly preferred, preferably in the laboratory or relevant industry

+ Strong technical knowledge and understanding of laboratory equipment and applications.

+ Knowledgeable understanding of our markets and customers.

+ Excellent analytical capability and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to work in a team environment and influence others to achieve results.

+ Self-motivated with a bias for action.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

+ Consultative selling abilities, capability to effectively negotiate and close business.

+ Outstanding follow-up and time management.

+ Excellent pipeline development, funnel management, and sales tracking.
