Job Description:

McDonald’s has long been an industry leader, innovating to deliver improvements in the experience for our customers and restaurant teams. In recent years, digital platforms have become an increasingly critical part of delivering phenomenal customer and crew experience. We have invested to build assets and capabilities that will take advantage of this growing consumer interest in digital, including upgrades to the mobile app, as well as installation of self-order kiosks, and digital menu boards.

The Senior will be part of the Business Advisory Services team within the Corporate Controller Group. As a part of the Global Finance team, this role provides financial expertise and support to another Global department – McDonald’s Customer Experience.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

+ Act as one of the Finance Business partners to the Global McDonald’s Customer Experience department – which includes Global Marketing, Product & Design, Insights and Analytics, Operations, Restaurant Design & Development, and Strategy & Innovation

+ Facilitate the month-end close process, including issue resolution, budget owner management, variance analysis, and monthly reporting

+ Support processes surrounding the long-range plan, annual budget, quarterly forecast, and monthly variance analysis within Customer Experience

+ Investigate and understand detailed drivers of spending within the Customer Experience business units and support strategies to manage and report operating expenses, capital expenditures, and project costs

+ Design, develop & deliver insightful reports/analyses for distribution within the Customer Experience organization and across the wider organization on an ongoing basis

+ Cultivate robust business partnerships with an organization significant in size, complexity, and stature

+ Assist with special projects (e.g., build cost-benefits analyses, advise on cost savings, etc.)

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or Finance

+ 3+ years of experience; previous FP&A, Big 4, or similar experience preferred

+ Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency

+ Ability to communicate effectively with Senior Leadership and department owners of financial outcomes of business decisions; ability to tell the Customer Experience Finance story.

+ Proven track record of managing competing priorities and addressing roadblocks -desire to work independently amid ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

+ Strong aptitude with financial systems

+ Ability to handle and analyze large amounts of data quickly and efficiently

+ Strong interpersonal skills – ability to interact with all disciplines, levels, and cultures and build relationships

+ A strategic mindset, bias towards action, skepticism of the status quo, and can-do attitude – someone who is not afraid to dig in, uncover problems, and find solutions as a collective team
