Your Impact
The Email Developer is responsible for the development of highly dynamic email marketing and servicing campaigns. You have a passion for creative work and coding emails that look exactly like the original designs and that support business objectives. You'll apply your deep knowledge of HTML/CSS to code personalized, responsive customer-facing email communications using best practices to optimize for desktop and mobile email clients. You're a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing deadlines, and obtaining necessary approvals, and you have a thorough understanding of email marketing principles and email development best practices.
Qualifications
Thorough understanding of email marketing principles and email development best practices
Ability to hand code HTML and CSS for email
Knowledge of HTML email rendering bugs and workarounds
Experience debugging cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility issues
Must be able to troubleshoot without WYSIWYG assistance
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
General proficiency in Photoshop
Strong organization and project management skills
Excellent visual, verbal and written communication
Strong attention to detail
Ability to troubleshoot and support dark mode
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong quality assurance skills
3-5 years of experience coding and testing emails
Must be able to provide samples, including code
Responsibilities
Develop and modify responsive email and email templates, including templates that are optimized for dark mode
Design, code, test, and debug ad hoc emails and large email campaigns
Ensure emails render error-free and as expected in Litmus
Create, re-size, and optimize images and graphics for the web
Keep up with industry standards and new best practices in email development
Contribute wherever necessary to help the team reach its goals
