At RWE Clean Energy (RWECE), the Corporate Controlling team is responsible for financial performance controlling, planning & reporting and target setting for the Onshore Wind, Solar and Energy Storage businesses in the Americas region. Working as a strategic partner and trusted advisor with the business, evaluates improvement measures, actively giving recommendations/appropriate challenges, and business decision support. The Associate, Corporate FP&Aplays an integral role within the team and reports to the Director of Corporate Controlling. A successful candidate will make a meaningful impact immediately by having the demonstrated ability to work cross functionally with various teams and stakeholders, dive into details while keeping focus on the bigger picture, communicate results in a succinct manner and on-time and own processes from start to finish.

Responsibilities:
Support timely, complete, accurate, high-quality reporting/planning/forecasting with both local business stakeholders and RWE AG Controlling (FP&A) colleagues in Germany
Ensure consistency across input providers and assist with developing streamlined processes for consolidating forecasting and reporting
Prepare materials for and lead meetings with both local and RWE AG stakeholders on P&L and cash-effective risks related to the quarterly business forecast cycle
Expert in all Corporate Controlling data within various systems/tools and able to provide guidance to the team and other stakeholders for requested information (SAP, templates, models, deliverables) as well as perform system maintenance (i.e. SAP BW hierarchies)
Excel at structuring ways to break down complex business and financial drivers into easily understandable components
People and communication: Support the growth and development of the team and how we work together locally and globally
Continuous process improvement: Support the proactive pursuit of best practices, processes, standardization and tools that drive gains in efficiency, automation, and quality
Ongoing initiatives: Support company-wide top priorities and goals, special projects, and integration activities following recent organization structure change, increase in growth
Other ad hoc duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degreein Finance/Accounting/Economics/Business required; an Advanced degree is a plus, but not required
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in FP&A, Accounting, Controlling, Financial or Management Consulting or other Finance-related fields (some Corporate FP&A background required); Renewable energy experience is a plus
Systems and tools: Excel (moderate to advanced), PowerPoint, Analysis for Office, other system/tools experience is a plus (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Power BI)
Analytical and proactive problem-solver
End-to-end mindset and structural thinking mentality. Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated project management experience
Cross-functional collaboration. Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
Continuous process improvement. Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
Ability to effectively communicate and interact with Senior Management
Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space. Experience working in a global organization is a plus
Integration and change management experience is a plus
General accounting and IFRS knowledge a plus
Thrive under pressure and deadlines in a fast-paced organization. Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
Detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
