Overview

Expected pay for this position is $26.46 - $31.13/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The RC Patient Accounts Supervisor collaborates with the Manager to oversee all hospital and/or Professional billing accounts receivable management functions across the OSF Ministry. Assists with oversight of all billing and follow up activities to ensure policy, procedures, performance standards, and service expectations are met and takes corrective action planning to ensure timely and accurate billing to improve financial viability for OSF HealthCare. Works collaboratively and maintains positive relationships with facility administrators, leaders, stakeholders, and necessary committees to meet business, regulatory, and service requirements. Effectively manages the financial and human resources of the department, provides input on the department's strategic plan and annual goals. Contributes to all efforts to meet and exceed outcome metric goals.
Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma/ GED
Experience: Associate's Degree in a related field and 3 years' experience in healthcare revenue cycle management with 1 year directly related to hospital or professional patient accounting; OR 5 years' experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, of which 3 must be directly related to hospital or professional patient accounting.
Licensure/ Certification: Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) required within 12 months of hire.
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associates degree in Healthcare, Accounting, Nursing, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience: Experience with payor relationships.
Licensure/ Certification: N/A
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Working knowledge of hospital billing, coding, charging, and charge capture. Working knowledge of state and federal regulations as they pertain to billing processes and procedures.
