Role Summary/Purpose:

The AVP, Marketing – Synchrony Car Care will be responsible for driving the adoption and promotion of Synchrony Car Care program amongst Auto Clients. Leveraging strategies to grow their retail location and cardholder base. Helping to develop and execute marketing strategies at all points of the cardholder journey – including but not limited to digital, acquisition and lifecycle. This individual will work collaboratively with internal partners in Sales, Synchrony Car Care Marketing, Analytics and partner organizations.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Drive new accounts by working with Auto Clients to ensure they optimize how they integrate and promote the credit application process and integrate financing into their marketing activities

+ Be a thought leader for the internal Synchrony client team to deliver client impact from merchant/ applicant / cardholder experience improvements.

+ Understand and incorporate the client’s key business objectives, strategic vision, and marketing calendar into the planning process to achieve objectives.

+ Work with the Auto Client Marketing team alongside Performance Marketing, Analytics, and the Growth Marketing team to develop, implement and track effectiveness of marketing strategies

+ Conduct industry and competitive reviews and communicate marketing best practices to our merchant and our internal marketing and sales teams.

+ Establish and develop relationships with Auto Clients

+ Help develop awareness, acquisition, utilization and retention tactics to achieve business goals; drive profitable repeat spend

+ Identify, develop and sell-in innovative strategies to leverage credit products/services to drive new account growth, credit penetration and/or program spend

+ Partner with Sales and other cross-functional counterparts in Auto to support key industry initiatives

+ Work with 3rd party vendors, Rewards IT, COPS, Performance Marketing, etc. to ensure proper fulfillment of any consumer offers associated with lifecycle and rebate campaigns

+ Optimize marketing expenditures, and portfolio budget to grow the business. Continuously track spending to ensure programs are executed efficiently to stay within budget.

+ Partner with creative agencies and internal Performance Marketing team to collaboratively execute marketing campaigns

+ Work closely with the Analytics team to: Understand cardholder trends, drive targeting methodology and implement test and learn strategies to optimize results and identify opportunities for campaigns

+ Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s Degree or in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and 9 years of B2B and B2C marketing experience

+ A minimum of 5 years of total marketing experience, preferably in the credit card or financial services industry

+ Ability to travel as needed (~10-15%)

Desired Characteristics:

+ Prior experience in the Auto or Oil and Gas industry

+ Collaborative team player with ability to influence across all levels of organization and strong level of comfort working with remote teams

+ Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously

+ Strong working knowledge of multi-channel marketing campaigns

+ Familiarity with Workfront, marketing tollgates, and the ability to execute campaigns

+ Proven ability to test & learn and execute quickly in a fast-moving environment

+ Track record of delivering on customer centricity and delivering for partners

+ Self-starter with growth mindset

+ Consumer finance experience and related industry experience

+ Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 – 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

+ You must be 18 years or older

+ You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

+ You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

+ You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

+ New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
