job purpose : The Senior Director of Logistics is responsible for overseeing and optimizing fairlife’s warehousing and transportation operations, both internally and through external partners, including 3PLs and Coca-Cola partnerships. This role requires developing long-range strategies, managing logistics networks, and ensuring the scalability and efficiency of logistics operations in support of fairlife’s growth.

responsibilities:

+ Manage the internal warehouse and transportation service teams at fairlife as well as all external partners (3PL’s and partnerships within our parent company Coca-Cola).

+ Develop long-range warehouse and transportation strategies to support the growth of our organization while improving customer service, reliability, and reducing costs

+ Identify, develop, and implement systems and tools to proactively manage the logistics network with a focus on transparency and improved decision-making

+ Prioritize and lead projects for supply chain logistics with a focus on change management, scalability, and efficiency

+ Create and own the supply chain annual business plans (ABP) for warehousing and transportation

+ Participate as a key stakeholder in the S&OP process, focusing on ensuring optimal efficiency within logistics networks

+ Drive continued evolution of logistics systems and processes to support and scale with fairlife’s continued growth

+ Contract negotiation, execution and management with fairlife’s 3PL and logistics services partners

+ Identify and lead cost savings initiatives within warehousing and transportation

+ Lead relationships and communication with key stakeholders ensuring transparency into the capability and performance of warehousing and transportation

+ Lead capability development of tracking industry wide KPI’s and tracking performance against industry standards

skills/qualifications required:

+ 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehousing and transportation

+ Proven track record of improving business processes for warehousing and transportation

+ Working knowledge of information systems and ability to lead IT teams to build the tools to support the processes

+ Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and retain people in a high-pressure environment

+ Strong attention to detail and business analytical skills

+ Demonstrated excellence in communication and presentation

+ Bachelor’s degree; Master’s in Business Administration or other professional certifications preferred

+ Ability to thrive in fast paced, entrepreneurial environment

food safety requirements:

+ Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required that may affect product quality or food safety.

+ Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.

+ Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.

+ Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.

+ Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.

+ Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

+ In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.

reports to : VP, Planning & Logistics

travel requirements: 50%, minimum 1 week per month at one of the primary production sites (Goodyear, AZ and Coopersville, MI)
