As a member of the Benefits organization, your focus is to support U.S. employees and their families by answering benefits related inquiries. This involves answering inquiries and escalations to the Oracle Benefits Portal via email and telephone on a broad array of benefit plans, eligibility, and enrollment systems.

The Benefits Specialist spends 100% of their time answering inquiries via written email. You will also have phone/zoom conversations with employees regarding benefits questions, if needed. Other responsibilities can include:

+ day to day administration activities such as providing data and reports to payroll, finance and outside vendors

+ assisting in benefits projects

+ assisting in informational webinars such as new hire orientation and program overviews

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Below are some traits that we seek when hiring an ideal candidate. Responsible for the administration of Oracle’s benefit programs.

Responsibilities

Qualified candidates will have the following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

+ Has knowledge of benefits programs; for example 401(k), medical/vision/dental plans, Affordable Care Act Reform, ERISA, ADA, Workplace accommodations, FMLA and disability programs

+ Has excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Offers new ideas and innovative solutions

+ Is a team player, encourages participation and is willing to offer help where needed

+ Adapts communication style to fit the audience

+ Takes initiative and is proactive in their approach to problem solving

+ Works under pressure and is able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities, as well as able to meet specific deadlines

+ Someone that works with confidence, uses excellent judgement, and understands when to bring in other resources when necessary

+ Will work with confidential employee medical information, therefore HIPAA guidelines must be adhered to

+ Demonstrates ability to learn new and often complex business systems quickly and effectively

+ Assists with audits

+ Demonstrates proficiency with e-mail, Word, Excel, Internet and the ability to learn other systems

Preferred Experience and Education:

+ Requires at least two years of benefits experience – employee facing and administration

+ Advanced knowledge of excel is highly preferred

+ Experience in Benefits reports; such as, enrollment data, payroll reporting, and compliance reporting preferred

+ Skilled at explaining and presenting benefits information one on one to individuals, in live presentations and webinars to employees

+ B.A. or B.S. – Human Resources or equivalent experience preferred

+ Exercises judgment, initiative, and discretion when providing solutions to customers

+ This is a remote position open to all qualified candidates in the US with preference given to qualified candidates located in North Carolina.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $21.92 to $42.93 per hour; from $45,600 to $89,300 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
