Human Resources Development Program Analyst/Associate

The goal of PNC’s Development Programs is to move analysts and associates from development roles into production roles in one of PNC’s lines of business.

Human Resources (HR) is a strategic partner to PNC’s leaders and employees – helping the company to deliver exceptional results through our most crucial asset – our people. HR professionals provide insights, expertise and guidance at every phase of the employee and manager experience. From recruiting talented individuals, providing learning and development, and ensuring effective pay and benefits strategies, the HR team provides insights, expertise and guidance for every phase of the employee and manager experience.

The program consists of rotational assignments, shadow exposures, blended learning opportunities and mentoring which will enable associates to develop their skills in support of the HR competencies and PNC’s One HR Model. During the program, associates have a unique opportunity to deepen their HR expertise, collaborate with senior and executive leaders, and contribute to critical HR activities. Associates will rotate through several key areas of HR, typically including Employee Relations, HR Business Partners, PNC University (Learning & Development), Talent Acquisition (Recruiting), and Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits).

Rotations and placement in other areas within HR may be added based on business need.

The Human Resources Development Program is located in Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Atlanta.

This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion.

Job Profile :

Participates as an analyst/associate in the line of business development program.

+ Performs or assists the core activities of the group by applying knowledge learned to drive business results (e.g., deal, sales, process support, internal or external customer interaction, or supporting internal projects). Works under supervision and may have limited approval and/or exception authority.

+ Participates in social learning within the organization (e.g., identifies and networks with business representatives and peers, participates in mentoring, job shadowing and community outreach.

+ Participates in formal learning (e.g., classroom, web-based or virtual) and completes related activities and projects.

+ Supports the internal and external customer experience by providing excellent service at all times; takes accountability and ensures problem resolution.

Required Education and Experience :

+ Preferred business relevant majors (e.g., Finance, Accounting, IT, Economics, Marketing, Math, Statistics, HR, Management, Communications, Business Law, Psychology, Logistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Actuarial Sciences), Minimum GPA 3.0.

+ Demonstrated interest in the human resources through previous internships or work experience, coursework, project work or related certifications.

+ Roles at this level are filled by recent university / college graduates with little or no professional experience but possessing relevant skills. Includes individuals joining the organization through a corporate development/training program.
