As we undertake the ambitious Enrollment Modernization project, your expertise will be crucial in driving both business process re-engineering and technology modernization. This dual approach aims to streamline operations by automating enrollment transactions to minimize manual work, thereby enhancing productivity, and replacing outdated mainframe systems with advanced cloud-native solutions like IBM ODM. These efforts are designed not only to meet compliance with CMS guidelines but also to ensure rapid adaptability to market changes, reduce operational costs, increase system sustainability, and position Humana for future growth. This role encompasses back-end development, database integrations, network and hosting management, user experience considerations, and back-end server management. As part of their responsibilities, the engineer begins to influence the department’s strategy, making decisions on moderately complex to complex technical issues. The work is performed autonomously, showcasing a considerable degree of freedom in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. This position not only demands a deep understanding of back-end architectures but also expects a proactive approach in shaping project components and outcomes.

The Junior Full Stack Software Engineer will:

+ Work with a team of developers with deep experience in frontend technologies, distributed microservices, and full stack systems

+ Work across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies.

+ Work with Tech Stacks such as: Git/GitHub, Visual Studio, iServer, Artifactory, Jfrog, CheckMarx, Azure DevOps, SonarQube, Threat Modeler, xUnit, Selenium, UFT, qTest (QASymphony), Performance Center, HP LoadRunner, SoapUI/ReadyAPI, Dashboard/Reports, Splunk, DynaTrace Managed, API Connect, Apigee, GCP, Azure, Azure Monitor, Postman, Fiddler, Terraform, VS Code, .Net Core, Node.js, Groovy, Kafka, MongoDB, Azure Storage, Kubernettes, Docker, Istio, Service Mesh*, MS Visio, Eclipse, Maven, ArgoCD, Privacera, Tosca, Tosca OSV

+ Write effective REST APIs and technical documentation.

+ Write automated test cases to ensure correctness, responsiveness, and efficiency of the software product.

+ Provide expertise to influence project, initiative, and maintenance technical direction during discovery, planning, and implementation stages.

+ Maintain modern development standards with best-practice approaches and development processes.

+ Work within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to achieve the agile mindset and be an active participant in the team ceremonies.

+ Will speak up and ask clarifying questions to ensure sound understanding.

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelors Degree

+ Experience in designing and understanding of Rest APIs

+ Knowledge of technologies like Databricks, Python, .Net (any other technologies)

+ Understand of SOLID principles/Object-Oriented frameworks

+ Experience in Unit and Integration Testing

+ Excellent knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

+ Soft Skills: In addition to technical expertise, we highly value interpersonal skills such as effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. These competencies are essential for fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

+ 3 or more years of experience in software engineering

+ 2 years of experience in at least one of the following: Java or Node.js

+ 1 or more years of experience with Microsoft Azure, GCP, or another cloud service

+ 1 or more years of experience in building micro services

+ Advance experience in building software with Cloud native technologies

+ Advanced understanding of web modular design patterns

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$86,600 – $119,200 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
