Job Title: Safety Manager
Job Description
+ Responsible for compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
+ Involved with EHS programs and develops safety and environmental risk assessments
+ Administers all aspects of the safety programs that empower employee participation in all areas of the organization.
+ Conducts and maintains hazard analysis in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements
+ Coordinates safety audit processes with direction from corporate and plant safety management.
+ Supports the incident investigation process, root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
+ Responsible for training as necessary on regulatory compliance and safety awareness.
+ Improves EHS systems which assures all employees are safe and healthy, and that materials are handled in an environmentally sound manner.
+ Leads people and facilitates risk assessment and emergency response.
+ Ensures accidents and incidents are being reported in a timely fashion and follow-up as necessary for closure.
+ Provides a comprehensive and accurate monthly report containing appropriate metrics.
+ There are no direct reports for this role
Hard Skills
+ BS/BA degree in Safety management or related degree, Business management, business operations, etc.
+ 3-5 years minimum in EHS management
+ Bilingual in English & Spanish is a huge plus
+ Knowledgeable in federal, state, and local regulatory requirements for air, water, and land environmental, HACCP, OSHA, PSM, First Aid, CPR, Blood Borne Pathogen, Confined Space
