As a Controls Engineer II at Honeywell UOP, you will oversee the design and execution of control systems for various UOP-supplied process units. Reporting directly to our Engineering Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of control systems into our products, contributing to their overall efficiency, safety, and performance.

LOCATION: Des Plaines, IL on a hybrid working schedule.

The annual base salary range for this position is $99,400 – $120,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design, develop, and implement control systems for industrial applications - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems into products - Optimize system performance and meet customer requirements - Conduct testing and troubleshooting of control systems - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

YOU MUST HAVE:

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field - 2+ years of experience in controls engineering - Knowledge of control systems and industrial automation

WE VALUE:

- Experience with DCS, PLC and safety instrumented systems - Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC 61131, ISA-88) - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
