Job Title: Product Drafter – ApplicationsJob Description

Join our applications department where you’ll collaborate with customers and engineering teams to ensure that applications or after-market add-ons are manufacturable and comply with regulatory vehicle codes. Your role involves 3D modeling, drafting to specifications, and making necessary adjustments in design or manufacturing, all while documenting the process thoroughly. You will be responsible for confirming the compatibility and specifications of Fleet, Truck Pool, and other installed orders, reviewing product compatibility, establishing new parts and numbers for auxiliary equipment, and ensuring conformity to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Additionally, you will assist in providing technical support and developing product knowledge.

Hard Skills

+ Bachelor’s/Associates Degree

+ 3D CAD proficiency

+ Mechanical Aptitude

+ Knowledge of Chassis ordering guides and chassis options

+ Familiarity with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Quincy, Illinois.

Work Environment

Position is based in a modern corporate building within a product development team in Quincy. The site hosts approximately 3000 employees and includes manufacturing/assembly facilities. The team consists of around 70 professionals including detailers, drafters, designers, project engineers, and support staff. On-site café and local dining options are available, and the dress code is business casual, with flexibility for jeans unless there are significant meetings or customer visits. The company culture is family-oriented with a history spanning over 150 years, characterized by good vibes and very low turnover.
