Role Definition

To perform a variety of duties related to the development and implementation of methods, procedures and equipment used in Quality. This role is fundamentally a reactive quality role responding to daily quality issues found in the manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

+ Training and supporting manufacturing and quality team members in requirements, inspection, and test practices.

+ Producing inspection reports based on results of inspection analysis; participating in measurement systems analysis.

+ Collecting non-conformance data and maintaining and updating quality system documents.

+ Executes processes, plans and tools that support global quality systems or related processes i.e. Cost of Poor Quality, APQP, PPAP, CQMS quality certification, etc.

+ Work with supervisors, technicians and other support groups on certification and quality issues, conducting informative meetings on basic certification processes when needed.

+ Ensure that area metrics, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Continuous Improvement Processes are up-to-date and being properly administered.

+ Works with teams to determine root cause and drive corrective actions

+ Track the progress of corrective actions across the business to ensure a speedy response to a resolution

Degree Requirement

Degree or equivalent experience desired

Skill Descriptors

Quality Management: Level Working Knowledge

Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.

Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Level Extensive Experience

Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Level Working Knowledge

Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.

Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Level Extensive Experience

Knowledge of the concepts, principles and techniques of root cause analysis (RCA); ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences.

Top candidates will have

+ A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Manufacturing

+ Experience with process control software

+ 6 Sigma / Lean Manufacturing experience and/or certifications

+ Previous auditing experience

+ Project management experience
