Our client, in Food Industry is looking for a Part Time Sensory Technician to join their team to support the Sensory program by coordinating sensory evaluations and maintaining all aspects of the Sensory lab.

Job Title: Sensory Technician (Part Time)

- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Location: Oak Brook, IL (Onsite)

Pay Range: $20-$24/hr

What’s the Job?

+ Coordinate and execute internal sensory evaluations: recruit respondents, prepare & serve samples (cook, prepare, portion), set up data collection system (using iPads/computers and data collection software), monitor the test (including instructing respondents and answering questions), distribute incentives

+ Coordinate external sensory evaluations by collecting, packing, and sending product to external sensory labs.

+ Maintain a high degree of cleanliness and organization within the Sensory lab

+ Ensure the lab is stocked: cups/lids, utensils, test products, carriers, rinse agents, food/chemical references

+ Maintain records of samples evaluated and any data collected

+ Proactively report all errors/issues/concerns to Sr. Principal Scientist; assist in troubleshooting efforts

What’s Needed?

+ No food allergies or sensitivities

+ Must be willing to work with and taste all kinds of foods (e.g., pasta, mayonnaise, salad dressing)

+ Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills

+ Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks on a deadline basis

+ Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook)
