Position Title: School-Based Occupational Therapist (Full-Time)

Program: Connections Program (Serving Students with Autism, Grades 1-6)

Location: LaGrange Park, IL

Start Date: August 19, 2024

Schedule:

+ Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM

+ Wednesday: 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM (Professional development from 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

+ Conduct evaluations to determine students’ occupational needs and areas for growth.

+ Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students.

+ Collaborate with case managers to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

+ Work alongside an interdisciplinary team and classroom teachers to address students’ therapy needs.

+ Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

+ Provide training and support to staff and the community regarding occupational therapy and related areas.

Requirements:

+ Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.

+ Eligibility for IDFPR licensure in Illinois.

+ Eligibility for a Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois.

+ Preferred experience working in a K-12 educational setting.
