Role Overview:

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring that production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are followed. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage a team, optimize processes, and contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the production department. This role is located onsite in Loves Park, IL.

Roles and Responsibilities:

+ Manage an operation, business, unit, or part of a production facility in order to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery and safety.

+ Team management of hourly employees. A job at this level will hire and develop talent, and provide guidance to new team members.

+ Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards. Identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.

+ Serve as the primary contact with the FAA for the 14 CFR Part 145 repair station.

+ Provide guidance to FAA Repairmen and oversee the 14 CFR Part 145 repair station.

+ Responsible for supporting customer AOG and after normal hours support.

+ Responsible for operations of the repair station including FAA compliance, airworthiness, safety, and certification.

+ Develop in-depth knowledge of associated technical disciplines. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.

+ In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

+ Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in manufacturing)

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or graduation from a GE Aerospace leadership program

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 3+ years of experience leading people in a manufacturing environment

+ 3+ years of experience in Aerospace aftermarket repairs

+ Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and/or Continuous Improvement problem solving

+ Strong oral and written communication skills

+ Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

+ Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs

+ Established project management skills

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
