Job Description

As a Quality Engineer, you lead a team of Quality Auditors in ensuring all aspects of quality assurance are upheld in an environment with the highest regard for customer satisfaction, safety & operational integrity. Your team contributes to Plastipaks ranking as an industry leader in the design and manufacture of rigid plastic containers.

You Will

  • Manage Quality Auditors, assuring the team is achieving continuous control over materials, processes, safety protocols and finished product

  • Coordinate staffing, scheduling & work assignments

  • Monitor key metrics, including customer concerns, returned goods, holds and corrective actions, with a focus on measuring compliance, resolving issues & identifying improvement opportunities

  • Analyze statistical data & generate reports for internal & external customers

  • Work with ISO Management Representative to ensure Quality Protocols (work instructions, forms and record retention) are in compliance with ISO standards

  • Uphold & contribute to our positive work environment where safety, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction are top priorities

 

You Have

  • Associates degree or higher level of education

  • Minimum of three (3) years of Quality Assurance experience in manufacturing setting

  • Minimum of one (1) year of supervision experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience working within an ISO-certified environment

  • Knowledge of manufacturing quality assurance tools & methodologies

  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma & continuous improvement preferred

  • Great social & interpersonal skills to relate with & motivate people

  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical & reporting skills
