CLA is growing and seeking to hire an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our talented Enterprise Business Solutions - Technology team. The position offers growth, flexibility and a collaborative work environment. This position can also be a fully remote but will require the occasional office visit.

The Senior Data Engineer leads collaboration with Data Engineers and other internal stakeholders to develop solutions that enable data, insights, analytics, and actionable triggers and solutions. They utilize a full range of data technologies to create new data patterns, establishing best practices and standards for managing large collections of data. The Senior Data Engineer will report directly to the Manager of Data Engineering and works with a broad range of internal IT teams, business facing and potentially, external vendors.

How you'll create opportunities in this Senior Data Engineer role:
Design and direct building of data pipelines, utilizing Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory to build scalable solutions.
Act as point of escalation for Data Engineers to troubleshoot data-related problems.
Authorize maintenance, modifications and peer review as needed during the building process.
Continually ensure successful operational monitoring and pipeline maintenance.
Leads team of Data Engineers and other members of the Data Analytics team to analyze existing software programs and technology processes, ensuring continued effectiveness and efficiency.
Act as point of escalation for troubleshooting software problems.
Lead team in gathering and analyzing data for business projects, as well as mapping underlying processes and data flows.
Follows an existing framework to design and build various software systems at the request of other internal teams and on behalf of clients.
Lead development of reports and data extraction as requested by other teams for use within the firm and on behalf of clients.
Lead implementation of new technology for firm use, as well as creating roadmaps and tools to guide and monitor usage.

What you will need:
4 years of relevant experience required with data analytics toolsand 3+ years of hands on experience in design or development of enterprise data solutions, applications and integrations preferred.
Experience with data analytics tools preferred.
Experience in design or development of enterprise data solutions, applications, and integrations preferred.
Bachelor's degree required (combination of experience, training, and education may be considered a degree equivalent). Field of computer science, mathematics, or related is preferred.
Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field preferred.
Experience with core programming skills in languages Python and SQL.
Knowledge or experience with a variety of database technologies such as SQL Server and Azure Synapse.
Hands on experience in Azure cloud environment.
Knowledge with design of data integrations using Rest APIs, streaming technologies, ETL, ELT and other Data Integration patterns utilizing tools such as SSIS, Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
Experience with Data architecture principles such as Data Lake, Databricks Delta Lake, Data Warehousing and Star Schema.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Power BI or similar Data Visualization tool.
