Description:

]Under direction of the East Campus Area Coordinator, individuals who are classified as Housing Officers assist in the execution and operation of complex housing programs including but not limited to the dissemination housing information to students, parents, other university departments, and concerned individuals; computer data input and retrieval related to maintenance of the housing information system database; and document production and processing, all of which are related to the daily management of university housing administrative operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide supervision of desk staff and desk manager.
Assist in the process of recruiting, interviewing and selecting student employees and student managers
Develop, standardize and implement training curriculum for desk staff_
Implement high standards for employee job performance
Oversee time tracking and monitoring of Federal Work Study balances of student employees
Prepare and manage schedules and payroll time clock review for proper desk and security coverage throughout the year
Maintain high standards of desk cleanliness and organization
Maintain good public relations with students, parents, university communities and beyond
Represent the university to internal and external audiences
Communicate with students and area staff regarding departmental issues or concerns
Hold staff accountable for maintaining good customer service habits

Assist in the coordination of residence hall applications, contracts, assignments, billing, and reports
Maintain accurate occupancy management records for the East Area.
Operate housing databases for smooth application of housing administrative processes
Recommend changes in departmental policies and procedures, the development and initiation of forms, and policies and practices for office operations
Maintain upkeep of reception area and common workspaces
Monitor mail and package distribution for the East Area Office
Audit and maintain security of East Area Keys
Submit work orders and maintenance requests
Notify appropriate staff of broken equipment when necessary
Assist with special projects and events as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications Required:

1. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

2. Any combination totaling four years from the following categories:
