Position Highlights:

Child Care Coordinator - NCH Wellness Center
Location: Northwest Community Hospital - Arlington Heights, IL
Full Time, 40 hours/week
Days/Evenings
Monday - Friday
Occasional weekends

What you will need:
Bachelor's degree required with coursework in childhood education, elementary education or related field preferred.
Minimum 2 years of childcare or teaching experience in a professional setting required. Prior childcare services management experience preferred.
CPR/AED certification through the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
The interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with children 6 months to 13 years of age, families and other hospital staff members.
The organizational skills necessary to supervise, schedule and direct staff.
The organizational skills necessary to develop and implement age-appropriate child activities and secure the required supplies and materials.

General Summary:

Reporting to the Wellness Center Director, is responsible to lead, organize and oversee the childcare department and associates who provide care for children of the Wellness Center Members in a safe, friendly and caring environment.

Coordinates, schedules, trains, develops, participates in performance management and supervises staff of WC Childcare Associates to provide high quality, safe and caring childcare services for children 6 months to 13 years of age.
Prepares annual department budget, secures payments from parents, and recommends equipment purchases to the Wellness Center Director that will improve the children's experience and safety.
Coordinates operations of the department to meet or exceed annual budget expectations for the childcare department.
Develops, delivers, enhances, and evaluates age-appropriate activities and programs to create an engaging and enriching environment for children.
