Position Highlights:
Position: Sr Coding Analyst, Revenue Integrity
Location: Full-time Hybrid
Full Time/Part Time: Full time
Hours: Monday-Friday, standard 8.5 hour workday, must be flexible to accommodate schedule to meet Coding days metrics.

What you will need:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field required, or 5+ years of healthcare experience in the clinical or revenue cycle setting
Certification: Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field required or an Associate's Degree with equivalent years of work experience, or Coding Credentials (CRC, CPC, CCS-P, etc.)
Experience: 3-5 years of related experience in physician or hospital outpatient medical billing, reimbursement, coding audits, chart review, compliance, medical office or patient accounts. Past experience working in Epic EHR system.
Skills: Coding and Auditing, specifically infusion coding. Navigating Epic EHR system.

What you will do:
Review government and commercial payer policies and guidelines to identify coding and documentation requirements for billing to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement.
Analyze the patient charts and perform a thorough review of the encounters medical record documentation ensuring proper charge capture while maintaining regulatory billing and coding guidelines
Assign appropriate CPT and HCPCS codes, as necessary, for thorough, accurate and supported charge capture.
Identify areas of opportunity for documentation improvement and work with appropriate clinical team to secure additional documentation, when needed, for coding or medical necessity purposes.
Attend to Epic EHR workqueues in an effort to correct errors identified by Coding, Billing or Revenue Integrity staff for clean claims processing.
When needed, provide virtual or in-person coding and documentation education to physicians, advance practice providers, practice managers, and revenue cycle coders.
Perform audits to identify missed revenue and/or compliance risk.
Perform data analysis on ad hoc coding and billing initiatives.
Identify improper coding and billing trends that result in coding or billing denials, and assist in implementation of workflows and streamlined processes to minimize these denials.
Develop educational materials/aids to assist billing providers and coders in identifying documentation requirements on various topics.
Attend multi-specialty coding, billing, reimbursement seminars to maintain and increase coding, billing, reimbursement expertise/ knowledge.
