Job Description Summary
The Clinical Placement staff person is responsible for assisting the College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CoNHS) faculty with the day-to-day management of all aspects of the clinical placement process including monitoring students' placements and clinical records as well as maintaining and obtaining contracts, mandatory legal documentation (license verification, liability insurance, qualifications of preceptors and preceptor orientation etc.) The staff member is responsible for providing quality support services in the Scheduling & Clinical Compliance for Adult & Accelerated Programs.
Appointment is currently set to end on 6/30/25.
Responsibilities
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.
-Assists with coordination of student scheduling and clinical compliance in the Adult accelerated nursing programs
-Maintains clinical compliance systems and relevant communications to students and faculty
-Assists with responses to student and faculty scheduling and clinical compliance concerns, issues, and requests.
-Participates in clinical placement meetings
-Supports orientation of students and faculty to clinical compliance processes and tools
-Assists the Program Director with gathering information for the course schedule, including course rotations and student assignments.
-Maintains records and provides reports that support day-to-day operations of the Adult and Accelerated nursing programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication; strong organizational skills including time and information management and the ability to work within specific deadlines; technology literacy (Microsoft Office, clinical management platforms such as Exaat and Typhon); capability to work with Lewis University community partners, faculty, staff, students; persistence and the motivation to succeed.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with experience in higher education administration
