Position Highlights:
Position: Mental Health Associate II (PRN)
Location: Highland Park, IL
Full Time/Part Time:PRN/ Per Diem
What you will need:
License: N/A
Education: Bachelor's Degree-Human Services. Associate's degree with three years' inpatient psychiatric experience
Certification: CPR Certification Required
Experience: With human services such as inpatient psychiatry or direct patient care preferred
Skills: Interpersonal skills, knowledge of psychiatric terminology & theory, empathy, tolerance for ambiguity, ability to manage stress, and skill in setting appropriate limits
What you will do:
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members to provide holistic, individualized patient care and therapeutic milieu management throughout the extent of the patient's hospital stay
Assist patients with activities of daily living as defined by the patient population and unit specificity
Facilitates relevant goal-setting, conducts therapeutic one-to-one's and revises treatment plan accordingly
Assist with admission, transfer and discharge of patients
Participate in behavior management, treatment planning, and documentation in the medical records
Communicate effectively with patients, members of the multidisciplinary team and all customers
