Job Description
Infosys is seeking Mainframes support engineer to support production environments. You should be able to participate in High Level and Detailed Design discussions; and co-ordinate with cross functional teams for successful go-live plan. Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or Chicago, IL or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 4 years of experience in supporting Mainframes production environments
Minimum 4 years of experience on IBM Mainframe technologies such as COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, SQL and VSAM
Well versed with ITSM process and Broadcom Endevor Mainframe tool
Knowledge and experience with full SDLC lifecycle & hands on automation experience with Unix/Shell scripting
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 4 years of experience as Mainframes Production support engineer in creation, migration, and ownership of the schedules, JCL, PROC's other batch resources.
Highest commitment to maintain error free environments
Ensure all workload SLAs are met for critical job failures
IBM Mainframe technologies such as COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, SQL, VSAM, IBM WebSphere, Broadcom Endevor tool.
Flexibility, Teamwork, Positive attitude and complete awareness on SDLC model.
Experience in Health care domain is additional plus
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
