UI Designer – Design Systems

3 days onsite Oak Brook, IL (not open to remote + not accessible by public transportation)

Portfolio – REQUIRED

Must have previous experience working on a design system

2 step interview process – 2nd one is onsite

REQUIRED:

+ Must have previous experience working on an enterprise design system

+ Must have at least 5 years of experience in the user interface space (not graphic/print and would not look at someone with less than 5 years)

+ B2C experience- preferred retail/in-store

This UI Designer sits within the IT team with cross-departmental responsibilities. You will be working on projects owned by numerous areas throughout org, including Merchandising, Marketing, Store Operations, Finance, and Retail Support. The primary responsibility is to finalize mocks created by the UI/UX Designer by applying standardized UI components from our style guide. A high degree of collaboration with the UI/UX Designer, and eventual touchpoints with IT BA’s, Architects, and Development team members. Stakeholders include a wide range of individuals inclusive of application owners, sponsors, and potentially Executives.

Skills:

Ui design, Figma, Sketch, adobe xd, brand guidelines, mockup, mobile

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- Familiarize and establish a competence with the visual design stages, from concept to completion of product designs

- Identify optimal product user flows

- Collaborate with UI/UX Designer to finalize mocks for developer hand-off

- Establish, maintain, and grow strong working relationships with business partners and other

IT functional groups.

- Work with developers to implement the design, including testing and QA support of the builds

- Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback

- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
