Job Description

Description We are seeking an Auditing Clerk to join our team in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry, based in CHICAGO, Illinois. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and involves a range of responsibilities including processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct semi-annual self-pay rate audits, ensuring timely completion and remediation of any deficiencies.

- Compile weekly call logs for the collection team.

- Attend financial review calls and assign tasks in our system to the relevant individuals.

- Continuously follow up on open tasks with team members to ensure completion before the next scheduled monthly financial review call.

- Perform weekly audits of online storage reports and ensure all forms are uploaded in our system.

- Conduct weekly contract audits, comparing contract rates to our system rates and resolving any discrepancies.

- Perform monthly Medicare Part B/Secondary Insurance Reviews, updating resident profiles as necessary.

- Carry out monthly audits of discharged self-pay residents with balances over a certain amount, conducting property/probate searches as needed.

- Manage Financial Review Tasks/Notes in our system, following up on open tasks with team members and closing completed tasks.

- Audit private pay accounts and MEDI vs our system’s income as requested.

- Undertake additional projects/reviews as assigned. Requirements – Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

- Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat

- Competency in various Computer Programs

- Experience with Concur is preferred

- Understanding of Dashboard Metrics

- Knowledge of Accounting Functions

- Ability to manage Accounts Payable (AP)

- Experience in Auditing

- Experience in Cash Activity handling

- Familiarity with Check Processing procedures

- Relevant experience in the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry is preferred

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

- High attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
