Job Description

Description We are seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team in OAK BROOK, Illinois. In this role, you will be instrumental in offering financial decision support, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance to policies and controls. The Sr. Financial Analyst will work closely with our Sales & Marketing organization and play a key role in the financial aspects of our monthly S& OP process.

Responsibilities:

- Build and uphold strong partnerships with the Sales & Marketing organization

- Provide financial decision support and participate in sales & marketing meetings

- Conduct regular financial performance and forecast reviews

- Ensure accuracy of financial results, analysis, and forecasts

- Drive compliance to policies and controls and ensure appropriate monthly judgements and estimates are booked/accrued

- Identify and update gaps in processes on a daily basis

- Prepare and communicate periodic analysis around Business Unit performance & budgets/forecasts

- Drive the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes for the Commercial Business Unit

- Work with product managers on their budgets/forecasts by providing analysis around price, mix, promotions, returns, warranty, and other related metrics/trends

- Develop queries and analysis tools that support business analytics and act as a first line of support for front end users in finance

- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies

- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating in projects as needed. Requirements

- Must hold a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role

- Proven expertise in Business systems, Confluence, CRM, Crystal Reports, Data Mining Techniques, and About Time

- Proficiency in accounting functions, auditing, budget processes, and capital management

- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel required, SAP, and SAP ERP a plus

- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis

- Well-informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market, and business environments

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field. Advanced degree or certification is a plus

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, technical, IT, and numerical abilities are crucial

- High level of proficiency in financial modeling techniques

- Strong interpersonal skills are also essential as most financial analysts work as part of a team

- Proficiency in risk analysis, budgeting, and forecasting

- Must be detail-oriented, motivated, and driven.
