Job Description
Adecco is searching for a Chemist 2 in Melrose Park, Illinois.
Chemist are needed for the year to finish the raw material method transfers, complete the needed Exhibit batch # 3 testing the ICH batch testing, cleaning verification samples, release raw materials for the scale-up and PQ batches and test stability samples
Work Schedule: 6-Month contract; M-F; Typically 8am-4:30pm with some overtime
The anticipated wage for this position is between $25 and $30.67. Hourly wage may depend upon experience, education, geographic location and other factors.
Position Summary
+ Responsible for intermediate level of expertise and analytical chemistry chromatographic methods of analysis and instrumentation, including troubleshooting.
+ Independently executes protocols verifications method transfers and support of senior level personnel directs and provides guidance to associate scientist principal activities performed be able to articulate work related issues clearly and effectively to management and peers performs accurate routine testing utilizing instrumental methods of analysis including HPLC GC FTIR UV ICP-MS with emphasis on chromatography to meet departmental objectives updates routines SOP’s MOA’s specifications.
+ Documentum as delegated by supervisor for USP compliance provides Technical Support for method validation verification transfers evaluations performs troubleshooting of instrumentation by applying problem solving skills in sourcing out literature or vendors.
+ If necessary provides guidance to associate scientist personnel when necessary assist in the formal training of lab personnel on topics such as GMP safety atenneoplastic and new employee training maintains accurate records of all work performed with respect to a given project documents testing and compliance with good documentation practices.
+ Manages work and time based on departmental priorities using own judgment and objective reasoning performs peer review of data to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Requirements
+ Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry or biology or an equivalent physical science
+ Typically one to four years of related experience in the Pharmaceutical industry and a familiarity with CGMP and FDA regulations
+ Must have hands on experience and knowledge in chromatographic methods and related chromatography data systems for example M power
+ Must be proficient in Microsoft Office word and excel
+ Some method development experience and extensive troubleshooting knowledge is highly desirable must be flexible with continually changing products and priorities

Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.67 per hour
