Position Overview

Navistar’s Diagnostics Software (Electronic Service Tools (EST) team is looking for a Senior Diagnostics Consultant who will contribute to the software applications development for accurate and faster diagnosis of issues. This senior consultant role will influence the design and performance of Navistar developed diagnostics software applications. The EST team develops all technician facing information, validates and acts as tier 3 support of the Navistar developed applications. The core application software that provides a platform to add technician facing details are developed by Navistar IT. This is a cross functional role that works with IT, Engineering, diagnostics authoring and service procedure development teams to understand their needs and support development and maintenance.

Responsibilities

+ Lead, develop and validate customer facing information for faster and accurate troubleshooting and repair using step by step procedures.

+ Work with various functions within service to understand their needs and convert those to IT requirements for application development

+ Willing to take on initiatives and adapts to fast paced development

+ Investigates application issues reported from field/tech support case files to aid root cause and work with IT for resolution

+ Provides technical support to field test fleet and support personnel who are diagnosing product issues

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree

+ At least 8 years of experience in the automotive or Heavy Duty industry

+ At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

+ Master’s degree

+ At least 6 years of experience in the automotive or Heavy Duty industry

+ At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

+ At least 10 years of experience in the automotive or Heavy Duty industry

+ At least 1 year of lead experience

Additional Requirements

+ Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
